BBB63 (3681), La Porte, Indiana, USA Jul 26, 2006 On tap at brewery: Slightly hazed amber hue with a small frothy head and great lace. The nose detects grassy and apple hop vapors, bready and biscuity English malt. A nice sharp bitterness greets the taster, very classic bitter for which it really is (not an EPA). Grainy and mild fruit undertones. The feel is smooth and quaffable displaying a session character. Very nicely done and something I hope to see on hand-pull one day. Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Jul 17, 2006 tap at brewpub-orange with a small white head. light earthy nose with some lactic notes. flavors are earthy, dusty hops with a nice caramel malt backbone with a sweet touch. body is medium with light carbonation akin to an english ale. Clean ferment which makes this EPA really shine. some nice resinous notes in the finish. very nice EPA.
