drewbeerme (1716), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 6, 2008 on tap at the brewpub. pours murky dull yellowish with white head. nose is wheaty, mild banana. flavor is wheaty banana, touch of lemon. drinkable. not really a classic hefeweizen but drinkable. Cornfield (4254), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 18, 2007 Fairly decent Wheat Ale, but it doesn’t really seem to follow any German style. It’s got a hazy straw body with a short-lived head. It has an aroma of fresh wheat with just a very light touch of banana. A light peppering is added to the flavor, but it’s all dominated by wheat flakes with a drop of honey. Still, it’s a refreshing ale.

tjthresh (1257), LaPorte, Indiana and Belton, Missouri, USA Jun 16, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Very turbid yellow and orange with a big white head. Some lace. Very nice peppery and banana notes in the aroma and flavor. Refreshing tartness. Really good stuff. shigadeyo (1342), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA May 29, 2007 Anniversary Trip 2007
5/17/2007: Murky/very cloudy butternut color (wife says it is "orange blossom") with a thin, frothy crown. Light, spotty lacing. Sour, acidic wheat malt in the aroma. The flavor is like that of a true hefe: banana and clove. There is also a bit of a citrus twist to it as well. Medium body. Very easy to drink.
Draught sample (5.0% ABV) at The Livery in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
