Pours a hazy orange with a diminishing head. Smells sour. Slightly sour. Loads of barrel and wood. Also quite hoppy but still unbalanced towards the woody aromas. Full bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Some residual sugars. Very bitter finish with more wood and sourness.

Bottle @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009. Orange blonde color, cloudy. Oily and earthy hops in the aroma. Tart with a sharp citrus flavor and loads of oily hops. Hints of oak. A lively sourness. Likeable.

Borresteijn (4541) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2009
RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting at the Harlequin. Hazy orange colour, off white head. Aroma of pineapple, peach, very fruity, sweet, a bit sour. Flavour is light sweet, fruity, peach, oak, yeast, light sour. Medium bodied. I think, considering the sourness, this was a bit infected, but I loved it.

Skinnyviking (6733) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2009
Bottle. High and lasting creamy off-white head. Hazy peach coloured body. Hoppy grapefruit peach aroma with notes of hay and bread. Mild sllightly acidic fruity flavor with a bit of caramel and a fair amount of hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Short sweet aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden.

bdigital (658) - Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 18, 2008
Draft: Poured at the brewpub...dark copper color with a minimal white/cream head. Caramel malts, light fruits and some subtle floral and spiced hop notes shining through. Medium bodied with a bit of an herbal, caramel and floral flavor residing. Decent brew.

RAYBOY01 (2012) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 10, 2008
Deep coppery pour with no head. Somewhat syrupy looking in the tulip. Big alcohol nose, but not offensively so. Sweet dark fruits and caramel roastiness undercut later by the herbal/floral hopping that seemed pretty heavy-handed (in a good way). Damn fine effort.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2008 Hand Bottled 18.7 oz bottle from BBB63. Pours a cloudy dark orange brown with no head. Aroma of faint pine needles and tangerine. Taste is flat with hints of tangerine, caramel malt, and pine. Similar to a flat yet hoppy peach flavored Snapple. Has a slight alcoholic finish to it. Not bad but would like to try this fresh.

cloudy orange, wispy head, light caramel aroma, sweet caramel malt flavor with lots of hop bitterness, either the growler is old or this beer is unbalanced and boring
