Commercial Description:
Named for our friend and patron Tad Eastman, whose Laughing Dragon Tie-Dye studio puts out our fabulous shirts-each one an individual work of art signed by Tad! Reddish Amber in color, this beer has a very bold Chinook hop character.

On tap at Livery. Was actually a nice treat to have a Chinook ale-- so many these days are Cascade, Amariilo, & Simcoe. Thought it tsated very fresh, and maybe a little bready? Would be curious what is the yeast. Body might have been a little thin. But surprised to see it was 8%abv. Need to try another time with a fresh palate.

Objectively speaking: Strong American ale with a sharp hoppiness and more yeast than most.
I like: Charming straight resin smell translates into a broader flavour profile in mouth. A fair dose of yeastiness offers a sourdough hint. Beefy malts are chewy and thick, accentuated by the absence of filtration. Very, very toasty and that’s a trait I love. Both bitter and aromatic, the direct hop punch is effective and counterbalances the growing sweetness with agility.
I dislike: Certainly not very complex for an 8% strong ale. Not very nuanced hoppiness.

On tap at the brewery. This hazy amber ale poured with a thin off-white head and a yeasty aroma. There is a hefty caramel malt flavor followed by a sour and bitter finish.

Draft @ the Livery. Pours a hazy, golden-brown color, tea-like; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Brown sugar, earthy bitterness, and resiny citrus notes in the aroma; some fruit (apples) and sweetness. Medium mouthfeel: surprisingly light-bodied for 8%: tea, resiny citrus and earthiness, and apple-centered fruitiness; chewy, soft, very drinkable ASA with a nice perimeter of soft citrus bitterness; intricate malt core. Medium finish: earthy bitterness, toasty basic malts, and some lingering apples.

(Draft) Pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of pine, mustiness, dark fruit, and biscuit. Flavor of caramel malt, herbs, earthiness, and hops (floral, pine, citrus).

Laundry detergent.Wheaty and a taste that I have named bad/weird MI flavor. Dont know what it is or what causes it, just something I’ve noticed with a few different MI brews.
