sneagrams3 (1343), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 13, 2008 Tasted 4/27/08. 6oz sample from the brewpub. Filtered with a dark amber hue. Trace head. Honey raisin graham crackers and cinnamon aromas. Toasty. Medium to full bodied. Nice citrus effervescence. Raspberry fruity esters. All malt on the palate. Touch dry and tart, but a great representation. Flavorful. sliffy (1930), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 8, 2008 DLD ’08 Growler shared by BBB, thanks Mike: Pours a hazy dark brown with a light tan head. The taste was very sweet pancakes with some milk chocolate. There were also some toabacco hints. This had a smooth body and was good for the style. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA May 4, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Dark with no head. Taste is sweet carmel, and lager. A little smokiness with some bitterness in the finish. alexanderj (1197), Roanoke, Virginia, USA May 3, 2008 On tap at The Livery; by far the standout of the visit. Dark brown in color with minimal head. Aroma of sweet malt, chocolate, fruit, yeast and roasted malt. A good amount of fruit too. Flavor was similar; balanced and complex. Liked the fruity elements. Nice amount of alcohol.
