bdigi66 (442), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 18, 2008 Draft: Poured at the brewpub...orange/copper in color, slightly murky with a fluffy white head. Nose hints at light grapefruit, pale malts, floral and citrus hops with a spiced presence that seemed to hit on all cylinders. Nice, pleasant mouth feel consisting of light citrus, floral hops and a mildly resin finish. RAYBOY01 (1622), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 10, 2008 The pour is an attractive hazy coppery’gold. Moderate PNW hop nose, and a touch of cattiness. Nice basic biscuity caramel sweetness and citus(grapefruit) and Pine hop bite in the finish. Quite well done IPA. ChainGangGuy (1524), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jul 10, 2008 Appearance: Pours a hazy, coppery body with a small, white head.
Smell: Floral, lightly lemony aroma with a backing of standard pale malts.
Taste: Pale malts with no more than a slight sweetness. Pop of grapefruit flavor and a hit of citric acid. Floral flourish on the palate. Dash of mineral water. Altogether bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A pleasant, refreshing, decently drinkable IPA. jeffwilliams11 (253), hooterville, Michigan, USA Jun 29, 2008 pours golden amber-ish with small thick head. aroma is all cascade hops, citrusy and grapefruit, with just a hint of pineapple. flavor is more cascades, caramel malts, mildly biscuity. very drinkable and delisious. Ughsmash (2985), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA May 1, 2008 From a growler at DLD.. I’m going to guess that Mike brought it. Poured clear, medium golden with a nice cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweeter pale malts with rising cat pee bitterness as it breathed.. quite well balanced. The flavor focused on the hop blend (pine, grapefruit, and cat pee) with sufficient pale and caramel malt sweetness to back it up.. finished bitter and quite refreshing. Sweet, spicy, and bitter notes formed a good contrast on the palate with more fragrant spicy notes on the back.. I really liked this.
