COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
I used our flagship IPA, McGilligans, and tweaked the grain component of the recipe. I ordered 50 pounds of fresh Cascade hops from Yakima, WA, that were picked on a Thursday, shipped to us overnight, and brewed with on a Saturday. I used 28 pounds of fresh hops in the mash and used the remainder in the boil. The finished beer was dryhopped with locally grown Cascade hops from Livery customers that grow them here for fun.

Tap at Livery. Orange with white head. Pine, sugar and cleaner. This is more soapy than expected. Moderate bitterness. Nice but a bit soapy.

Sampled from the tap at the 2010 MBG Fall Fest. Poured a orange gold amber with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a pine note with a slight floral note and a bit of sweet grain. Flavor began with floral notes, but transitioned in to more of a pine note with a slight sweet grain backing.

BBB63 (5937) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - OCT 30, 2010
Draft: Coppery with a frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, slightly resiny Cascades, hint of pear and mango esters, biscuity malts, some minerally earthiness. The taste starts with biting hop bitterness followed by very earthy tones and some fruity acidity. Some roast and biscuity malt notes before a metallic finish. The mouth feel is lively and crisp, astrengent finish. A solid brew.
