May 6, 2008 From a growler a day after getting one. The body was dark amber and copper . The aroma was earthy with some floral hops. There was also toffee and iced tea. The taste was black tea with some oranges and light potatoes. A pretty good version of a style I don’t usually like.

May 4, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Amber/light brown body with small off white head. The hop character was earthy. Dry with little alcohol present.

May 3, 2008 On tap at The Livery. Amber/reddish color with medium white head. Aroma of malt and grass/earth hops. Biscuit in the flavor. Palate was both a bit watery and dry. Overall it was ok.

May 29, 2007 Tap: Deep amber with reddish highlights topped by a nice creamy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and aromatic hops, slight caramel and biscuity malt, walnut and a hint of seasalt. The taste has a crisp bitterness with an herbal background supported by a layer of sweet grainy malts. Slight medical finish however. The mouth feel is thin, refreshing, dry and short. A simple drinkable brew.

Apr 7, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2007Rating 666. On tap at the brewpub. Very clear amber with a nice white head. Upfront noble hop aroma with a nice toasted malt backbone. Nuts, toffee, and toast, with a rich clean finish. Medium body, and caots the tongue nicely. Very well made.
