Tap at The Livery 7th Anniversary Party: A hazy light brown hue with a small ring of foam, some lace. The aroma has light to moderate acidic vapours, some earthy funk and a bit of oak. Some citrus hop character noticed but light. The taste is a bit simple sourness and light bretty notes with some grains in the background. Very minimal bitterness and slight juicy fruit notes. I think this would have benefited from more dry hopping.

Draft at the 2012 Michigan Brewer’s Guild Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Golden orange body. Nice sour characteristics in addition to catty hops. Tart with interesting balance. I really liked this one.

8/11/12. GTMW. Hazy deep golden/orange pour with a nice enough off-white head. Lightly funky aroma with a most definite sweet, malty, bready aspect in there as well. Lightly tart and funky flavor with plenty of fruitiness and more of that sweet, malty aspect. Decent enough, but not their strongest offering of the day.

Draft to taster at The Livery. Looks fine; light-brown with sticky white lacing. Smells solid; sweet and sour. Tastes like it smells with some hops in there too. Average on the palate. Not bad.

Draft pour on tap at GTMW 2012 (Madison, WI). Pours a richer well hazed amber pour, gentle glow grows on the edges with dfrothy cakey offwhite head. Aromas are funky, brett and gentle fruit, touches of brett, lactic as more brett, funk, and fruity apple, pear, gentle melon take hold. Lots of fruit, some citrusy elements. Initial is lighter sourness, bready malts, lots of melon, citrusy orange and grapefruit juice. Middle is a touch sweeter, mellow barrel, more dry funky brett takes hold. Some funk, bready, more gentle sourness into the finish and end. Lemon, grapefruit, a touch lactic but more bretty. Nice.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber orange with a near white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a lot of grassy hops with backing sourness and a hint of honey. Flavor begins with grass and honey notes that last throughout and are joined by a sour and barrel note.
