4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20Barrel aged version from MBG Fall Fest tap. Pours a clear, medium hued copper with a nice off white head. Smell is very bretty and a little bit of spicy wheat and honey. Taste is very different from most of Steve’s sours as it’s more subtle (perhaps from only 4 months in the barrel). Soft body and sour structure with medium to high carbonation. Lots of malty wheat notes with finishing notes of honey and strong barrel funk and a slight acidity. Very drinkable and not too dry or even sweet, but full of plenty of funk.

Draft sample. Poured clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that was lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet wheat, citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.

Pours the color of a new penny. aroma is almost funky sour, smelling almost of bret. Taste is equally spiky with hints of banana, wheat, and spicy honey. Odd and funky, but it’s definitely unique and a very enjoyable brew.

Sampler at the Livery. It’s a pretty clear gold with aromas of spice, a little funk (brett???) and bandaid. Flavor is honey, a slight twang and medicinal edginess.
