sneagrams3 (1343), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 11, 2008 Tasted 4/27/08. 6oz sample from the brewpub. Hazy with an amber ruby hue. White head. Mild nose. Light to medium bodied with very tart berry flavors. Tart yet smooth. Grainy wheaty flavor. Clinging head. Solid fruit beer, but maybe a touch thin.
Tmoney99 (3429), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jul 21, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Poured a hazy dark reddish brown color with an average fizzy white head that diminished slowly with excellent lacing. Heavy tart citrus raspberry aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Moderate to heavy sweet raspberry flavor with a smooth moderate to heavy tart finish of moderate duration. Interesting and refreshing. xnoxhatex (778), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 5, 2008 All that was listed on the menu was raspberry wheat, so I’m guessing that this is the same beer that I had. Cloudy, very red with small white head. Raspberry is the most prominent aroma with a tad tartness. Flavor is sour, earthy raspberry, with some wheat. Medium body with medium carbonation and a little sticky. This was very nice and I’m surprised I gave it such a low rating. BBB63 (3681), La Porte, Indiana, USA Dec 14, 2007 Tap: Purple pink hue with a fizzy lasting head. The aroma has notes of tart raspberry and lemon zest, aromatics, biscuity malt. The taste is acidic fruit over pale malt and wheat. Some quick note of lacto towards the finish. The mouth feel is sprite and thin, refreshing enough. Not one of Steve’s better efforts, sorry. Cornfield (4254), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 18, 2007 Think Lindeman’s Framboise and you’ve pretty well nailed this one. It has the same deep pink body and fluffy head. The aroma is strong with lightly tart strawberries and that’s how it tastes, too. It’s drinkable, but I don’t much care for that Lambik, either.
