Unclear medium to dark brown colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy brown sugar, bread - sweet rye bread. Flavour is heavy sweet with a long duration, brown sugar, caramel, roasted notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120729]

Draught at random nameless bar, Riga. Hazy dark brown, creamy head. Sweet and raisiny. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Date and sugar together with rye bread. No bitterness. Better than average commercial kvass.
