At lobethal Dark hazy brown color, near black. Just a collar of film. Toffee, banana, and spice on the nose. Quite soft. Lots of spice and caramel banana in the taste. Blended well. Banana finish with touches of spices. Nice beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle. Dark and inviting with a light black colour level tan head. Lots of spices mixed in the aroma with cinnamon and a bit of pepper coming through. Thin in the mouth but very tasty and a little light on the palate.

Pours dark brown, almost black, with a large, creamy, tan head. Nose shows candied figs, nutmeg, orange marmalade, golden syrup and crystallised ginger. Delightful. Flavours don’t quite work so well, coming off disjointed. A mix of nutmeg/cinnamon with accompanying herbal bitterness alongside alcohol, brown sugar and roasted malt. Its almost as if you can taste each different component separately, rather than a complimentary blend of flavours. Could use more carbonation and a more syrupy body.

Bottle. Dark brown with a light tan head that fades to a lacy coat and lingers. Aroma has heaps of cinnamon, cocoa, candi sugar, a little dough. Taste is somewhat sweet with grassy bitterness, drying cocoa, cinnamon and mace. Spices are a bit over the top in the nose, but not in the mouth. Well-balanced and just mouthfilling. Some woody spices at the end.

Lots going on here. Big spices, grass, smoky wood. Great brew. These guys are good.

Bottle 330ml. Aromas of fruit cake, chocolate, resin, and dark fruit. Taste is sweet and sour, with average length. Palate is light but sticky, and medium bodied. Dark brown, with no head.
