A deep golden ale, cloudy in appearance due to the presence of yeast ("Hefe" in German). This beer exhibits strong, fruity and vanilla ester flavours, ideal for quenching a summer thirst. This style originated from bavaria in southern Germany.

Light fruity and wheat aroma. Cloudy golden amber colour with poor head. The usual wheaty flavours, some banana and clove. Light body with medium carbonation.

330ml bottle. Fairly nodest head for a hefeweizen, low and white. Some cloudiness through the golden honeycomb colour, which is normal. Vanilla and fruit in the aroma and sweet and light on the palate with a sweet bubblegum flavour.

Drank on tap at the Lobethal brewhouse. The beer poured typical hazy golden, however the head was very disappointing with little carbonation, no better than a commercial lager, the brewers have to realize this because it is generally a hallmark of the hefeweizen style. The aroma was pleasing however sporting typical fruity and sweet notes. The taste and flavour of the beer was interesting to say the least, it was slightly sweet and sour, thats typical however it had a stale aftertaste...perhaps it was an old keg....my bad luck maybe?

Bottle 330ml. Nice heffe. Aromas of bubblegum and banana. Taste is sweet, with a touch of tartness, and light bitterness. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Dark yellow, cloudy, head doesn’t last.

Bottle. Hazy light brown with a fair white head that fades. Aroma has pears, vanilla, cloves, bread, lemon. Light wheaty bread taste with modest spice and fruit, a little wheat/ citrus tang. Not very pretty and not very involving, but OK.

From a 330ml bottle on 18/9/2010. Batch No. HEF 023, bottled June 2010. Strong aroma of banana with some apple. Pours a murky tan colour. A sweet banana flavour is evident, with some spiciness and mild hop finish. This is quite nicely balanced and quite refreshing. Would be very sessionable on a warm summer’s day.

Little head and a bit dirty and murky but undeniable bubblegum, cloves and bananas here. A little bit of metal coming through but all round pretty good.

Only slightly murky, golden body with good size white head. Soft cloves on the nose. Clove notes again in the taste some banana, not a lot else, easy drinking but simple.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with small white head that completely diminished. Aroma and flavour of citrus, malt and stale hops. Very thin bodied and poorly carbonated. Dissapointing from these guys.
