.5l bottle from Kuca Piva, Zagreb, with alternate label. Terrific heavier dark lager, all I want. Spicy, up-front flavors, smoke, chocolate and caramel. Well balanced. tart cherry, foamy white head. Indistinct aroma. Smoothly drinkable, would love to have this around all the time.

Clear deep copper, thin tan head. Light aroma of sweet roasted malt. Taste is sweet, caramel and roasted malts. Thin and watery. Low hopped, softly carbed. Finishes sweet, clean and malty. Disappointing. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

(bottle) pours a clear ruby-black colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of heavy coffee and toasted malts, chocolate fudge and light herbal hops. flavour is mostly the same, with lots of chewy malts and a slightly sweet finish. light to medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Sampled at SB & WF 2011. Pours amber with no real head. Smells and tastes malty and boiled vegetables with a similar finish.

Dark reddish brown colour with small to average size tan head.
Toasted malt, grain, caramel, mild butter (diacetyl) and mild hoppiness in aroma. Flavour is sweet caramel malt and buttery diacetyl with some mild dry hoppy kick. Slightly too sweet for me.

Had this labeled in Canada as Baron Beer. Touch of roast, some caremel and bitterness. 500ml bottle

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2011 Bottle. Strong dried fruit aroma, prunes, nutty. Dark reddish brown appearance. Bitter, watery. Not a great flavour - all prunes, too strong. Aroma overpowers the flavour.

Had this at a random biergarten in Prague, both this and the helles tastes slightly like watermelon, i think it was a bad tap line but it ended up working well.

Malzig herber Antrunk, etwas billig aber ertragbar. Kaum hopfig, getreidig-herb und leicht bitter. Malzig-würziger Abgang. Nett!
