Poured from the bottle into a .5l glass. Straight to the .5l mark on my glass as is expected. Big dark tan head formed and had to wait to pour more. Quickly dissipated leaving barely any lacing on the glass. Dark ruby appearance through the glass with light behind it. Hints of caramel, big malty aroma. Smells sweet. I didn’t really get the chocolate others said they did, but maybe that’s just my palate. A little bit of fruit, raisins and slight banana maybe from the amount of wheat added. Sweet, with the caramel and maltiness being prominent. Banana and cloves with every sip. The clove is not as pronounced, but is there. Creamy texture coating my mouth well after I have swallowed it down. Velvety smooth with no hint of alcohol. Very good. Very drinkable, don’t know if I could get more than a few down in a session as the cloying sweetness would start to make me sick of drinking it, but I could drink a couple a night. And I will this evening.

Bottled. Labelled as "Baron Tmavý ležák", ABV 4,7%. Interesting dark lager (dunkel?) with some fruity notes - which I haven’t seen by Czech dunkels so far - so I have to admit one of the most interesting maybe the most interesting beer from my local supermarket (Norma). I’ll definitely drink this one again.

Bottle. Light caramel/chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown color with moderate head. Sweet chocolate-caramel malt and light grass flavor with a hint of smokiness in the finish. Nice body. Surprisingly good especially for a beer I found in a discount grocery store.

50cl bottle from K-Supemarket Vantaa. Poured dark brown color with a thin white head. Weak aroma caramel aroma, slight roastedness. Thin body. Flavor is caramel malt and slightly sweet. Not bad, but watery and unexciting.

0,5 l bottle, called simple Baron.
Poured deep brown/ruby with a small creamy tan head that melts down to a nice lacing one. Caramel, toffee and some plum in the moderated aroma. Weak body with caramel and toffee, some cellar earthy taste, sweet fruits like plum, some cocoa.

It’s not really there. It’s sort of a gost. Theres no aroma that I can discern whatsoever. It’s brownish but very boring to look at. It’s very smooth and even, a nice sweet end with some coffee and toffee touches, but oh so subtle. This is a sessionable darker beer, but nothing too special. This really comes back at you later, this particular bottle is nearing the end date. would be better fresh. Though I just learned it’s retired....

pours clear dark brown. Thick light brown head low retention. Very sweet malty aroma with notes of candy and dark fruits. Nice flavour. Malty and rich with a distinct flavour of Vienna malt. Suprisingly complex. This is a great dunkle.

Bottle, thanks to TheHulk. Pours cola brown, thin off-white head, spotty to poor lacing. Nose is rootbeer, red licorice, vague toffee/chocolate. Flavours of cocoa, rootbeer/sarsparilla, light roast, caramel, medium to long sweet finish with hints of sweet yam and red licorice. Not a showstopper, but a hell of a little Dunkel. Exceedingly pleasant.
