2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500 ml bottle. Finland.
Dark reddish brown colour with small to average size tan head.
Toasted malt, grain, caramel, mild butter (diacetyl) and mild hoppiness in aroma. Flavour is sweet caramel malt and buttery diacetyl with some mild dry hoppy kick. Slightly too sweet for me.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Original 2011 rating. dried fruit aroma, prunes, nutty. Dark reddish brown appearance. Bitter, watery. Not a great flavour - all prunes, too strong. Aroma overpowers the flavour. Rerate because I had no palate back then.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rating #500, bottle from Norma Supermarket in Vilshofen, Germany
Brown beer with a nice head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts and light alcohol. Flavor has a lot of chocolate, roasted malts, is pretty sweet and a bit vineous. It all ends in only a light bitterness. Medium thickless, but nicely soft. A good expierience!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from the bottle into a .5l glass. Straight to the .5l mark on my glass as is expected. Big dark tan head formed and had to wait to pour more. Quickly dissipated leaving barely any lacing on the glass. Dark ruby appearance through the glass with light behind it.
Hints of caramel, big malty aroma. Smells sweet. I didn’t really get the chocolate others said they did, but maybe that’s just my palate. A little bit of fruit, raisins and slight banana maybe from the amount of wheat added.
Sweet, with the caramel and maltiness being prominent. Banana and cloves with every sip. The clove is not as pronounced, but is there.
Creamy texture coating my mouth well after I have swallowed it down. Velvety smooth with no hint of alcohol. Very good.
Very drinkable, don’t know if I could get more than a few down in a session as the cloying sweetness would start to make me sick of drinking it, but I could drink a couple a night. And I will this evening.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Labelled as "Baron Tmavý ležák", ABV 4,7%. Interesting dark lager (dunkel?) with some fruity notes - which I haven’t seen by Czech dunkels so far - so I have to admit one of the most interesting maybe the most interesting beer from my local supermarket (Norma). I’ll definitely drink this one again.
