Bottle, bought @ Gallerie Piva, Prague.
Pours deep brown with a small, creamy, off-white film head. Aroma is sweet, lots of caramel with some light roasted notes. Medium carbonation, fine, dry, mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet - a bit too much, even. Caramel at first, some sugary notes and then a good, dry, chocolate, hoppy finish. It is very sad that there is that initial overly sweet sugary note - otherwise, it would have been great.

Bottle. Bought in Schlitz, Germany. 0,55 Euro! Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. DArk amber colour. Light malty and slighyl caramellic aroma and flavor. Short light bitter finish. Oily palate. Not very good but al least very cheap!

Dark reddish brown with a thin off white head. Sweet doughy malt aroma, with notes of caramel. Sweet malt in mouth, with light caramel, and light burned coffee notes. A bit oxidized. Medium bodied, with some light metallic alcohol in finish. Nuttyness develops as beer warms up. BB 9-9-05. Trade from Piscator in Spring 2005.

Bottle: Pours clear reddish brown; big off-white head, lacing&lasting; shy sweetish malty nose, a bit vinous; mild milk-chocolatey and nutty taste; shorter fruity, malty and only slightly bitter (cacao) finish; very soft, tasty and well-rounded; a good and pleasant Dunkel !

MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 28, 2007
(bottle from Germany, 4.7% ABV, as Lobkow. Baron Urböhmisches Schwarzbier) Clear, dark brown colour with a reddish shine and a medium-sized, light-beige foamy head. Sweet and a bit sugary dark malty aroma with cacao and caramel. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty, slightly roasted taste with caramel and pretty strong notes of liquorice, lingering into the moderately bitter finish, accompanied with notes of chocolate and a whiff of herbal hops. Nice session beer.

Dark brown colour with a fairly thick tan head. Rich sweet caramel and nutty aroma, oaky, with a bit of fruitiness in it. Flavour is also nutty and malty. Medium-bodied but finished with lingering floral and coffee notes. A bit of soapiness comes out but still a good beer.
