Smooth to drink, but the smell is of burnt caramel. Color very nice, deep red. Virtually no head or carbonation. Initial flavor is the burnt caramel, but smooths in time. Lingering flavor that is very nice on the tongue. Not a good heavy drinking beer but interesting for a change. Probably won’t buy again.

A fair dark lager, but not exceptional. Pretty clear brown color. Thick head, which thins out before long but never really goes away. Aroma and flavor are fairly generic: moderately hoppy, with a nice hint of dark chocolate in the taste. Something irritates me about the aroma, but I can’t identify it clearly: an odd sort of metallic quality, as if it were from a can instead of a bottle. Finish is on the bitter side, with no warmth.

50cl bottle to weizen glass.

Appearance: Transparent red color with an off white mocha head.

Aroma: Biscuit, cookies, crackers, a bit of caramel/brown sugar. Some spicyness and dark fruit but not much. Slight sour element.

Taste: Sweet biscuit, some slight sour rye bready flavours, elements of dark chocolate. Definitely sweeter than I expected.

Palate: Well rounded, good body though carbonation is on the low side I think.

Overall: Pretty nice beer. Didn’t expect the world but it actually is quite nice.

Rundes Bier

Bottle. Aroma is of hops, malt, sweet fruit, a little banana, and a little brown sugar. Pours a caramel color, similar to Coca-Cola. Head is a light tan color, while remaining extreamely thin and disappearing rapidy. Flavor is not very hoppy at the start, with coffe / toffee notes with a slight bit of hops warming up towards the end, kind of like a pilsner. Carbonation is not too flat, but not strong, with a small bite. Repeat buy.

Bottle; Beautiful dark deep brown color with a medium dark caramel head (started large but fizzled down very quickly). Very smooth malts and a pleasantly wet finish. Thank goodness it was NOT HOPPY!

Good light ale. Very light palate but surprisingly decent taste profile out side of the sweetness. The sweetness is instant yet not overpowering. A grainy, nutty taste and just a hint of bitterness at the end. It's a simple beer with a very light palate yet good aroma and decent taste . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Une belle brune d’été. Pas trop forte mais un bon goût tout en douceur. Un petit côté (léger) de guiness.
