COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lobo is the native wold of Texas and the Southwest. It was almost wiped out by big ranchers about 100 years ago, like small craft breweries were almost wiped out by Prohibition. Both are coming back! Lobo is from a recipe that dates to 1910. It is made with the four classic ingredients: barley, American hops, yeast, and pure Texas Hill Country water. It is a celebration of beer the way it was made 100 years ago.

Bottles aren't fully filled. But a good beer. Head doesn't last long, crystal clear. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a clear, glowing gold with a high, fine-grained, white head. Nose is lemon and bread, with a metallic undertone. Pretty substantial for a lager, with a definite hops presence and some honeyed sweetness. Finish is long and bitter. Definitely a more substantial take on the lager form.

It has a nice, green lager aroma and a flavor that’s really not bad for the style. Its bitterness is respectable and rounds off a well-flavored, grainy beer with a nice weight very well. Yeast characteristics are minimal, and overall it’s a really clean beer that gets extra points in my book for a body that’s full, but not heavy or creamy as some lagers can get. It really almost seems like a pale ale at times. I don’t normally grab a lager intentionally, but if I did this would be a possible subject. It’s hoppy (for a lager) and lively enough to wake me up on a sleepy, overcast day.

A good lager. Full golden color. Clear and bubbling. Small white head. Clean light mineral aroma with a faint hop smell. Faint white lacing. The flavor is complete and well rounded while still having a light body. Its a little sweet a little grassy and faintly bitter. Seems reminiscent of good American light beer before mass marketing ruined it.

On tap (also I think a bottle as an extra from angrypirate06?). Pours with a crystal clear pale hue with a white head that leaves great lace. Aromas are very sweet and very estery for a lager. Grainy. Oddly fruity. Flavors are toasty, grainy, medium-low malt, a touch of hops. Again, extremely estery for a lager. Lively carbonation, dry finish.

Bottle:   Yellowish straw, fairly clear, moderate frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Grassy nose, sweet mealiness, some straw and hay as well.   Similar on the tongue, clean, grassy, fairly sweet.   Doesn’t come across as corny or overly mealy, which I like.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean finish, just sweet grassy notes with some straw and hay on the exit.   Average, but solid for a Pale Lager.   Thanks Bill!
