COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At the peak of summer 1631 King Gustavus Adolphus led thousands of Swedish troops into Northern Germany. Following the destruction and subsequent plundering of Brandenburg Adolphus’ army marched through the endless wheat fields en route to Bavaria. Brewed with copious amounts of red wheat, Blood ov the Kings is aromatically driven by bread, biscuit and notes of exotic fruit. Hazy and medium bodied the beer has a rich and creamy mouth feel with a dry, bitter, and slightly sweet finish. Unbound by the Reinheitsgebot Blood ov the Kings would certainly have been the vital fluid of victory for the Swedish monarch as he spilled blood across the wheat fields of Northern Europe.

Poured straight into the glass to kick up some foam and get a good whiff. Indeed bready smell with a bit of plum and herb. Nose carries some alcohol for a "regular strength" beer. Hazy body is more amber than red, under a big, puffy and lacy head.Taste matches the nose, includes a sharp bitterness like sucking on a tea bag. Enjoyable enough in toto, and the extra nose of alcohol also turns the beer into a sticky coating on my lips. But you need to be in the mood for something that’s not what the big boys call "drinkable."

500 ml. bottle pours hazy copper with a 3 inch sponge of foam that’s a bit annoying in its endurance. Nose is earthy molasses, bread and spicy orange flesh. Tastes of sourish orange toffee, bread, dried grass and touches of cocoa, nutshell and wood. Medium body has smooth, low-medium carbonation and swings to the malty side, but has a drying finish. Tastes more like a home-brew English Strong Ale, which automatically catapults it above 90% in the Wheat Ale category in my mind.

Cloudy orange gold, light tan head. Fruity pear, floral, light hay. Very lightly bittered, nice amount of sweetness. Medium body, kind of chewy. Bit of effervescence. Fine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle - Hazy amber pour with an aroma of bready malt and indistinct fruitiness. The flavor has mild to moderate bitterness with some sweet malt and a little caramel and fruit character. Light bodied. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber beer with a medium sized, white head on top. Aroma is faintly hoppy, some white fruits and grassy notes with a faint wheaty influence. Flavor is light bitter, not much else. Nice, longlasting and strong bitter aftertaste. Dry mouthfeel and finish, soft carbonation and overall just decent.

Rated on 7-02-2015 (Bottle) The appearance is a large creamy, smooth foamy beige head that mostly diminished, slightly hazy amber body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is wheat, fruity, bready, and malt. The flavor is bitter, wheat, malt, sweet, and has a dry finish. The mouthfeel of this beer is light carbonation and this beer is light bodied. A quaffable beer that I would drink again even though I have rated better beers of this style.

Pours amber, quite dark, tan head with sticky lacing. Aroma is doughy bread, a little hoppy citrus, wheat, cracker malt. Taste is floral hops, solidly bitter, some caramel notes and citrus. This is a pretty good Indian Pale Wheat. I like it.

Brownish red. Nose of deep toasted malt and sweet fruit with herbal hops. Flavor is more toasted biscuity malt with herbal woody hops. Hints of dark fruit. A little muddy, but good.

500 ml bottle. Deep amber, clear body. Flavor: moderately strong for style; good balance; malt forward. Hops come out in the finish and aftertaste. Fine bitter sweet balance.

Amber color with a relatively thick white head. Aroma is slightly sweet malt with some toasted caramel. Flavor is very malty with a little bitterness in the finish. A touch astringent, but fairly solid.
