3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pouring at The Festival in Portland with Kramer, Andrew, and J-Dadmond. Pours a faintly hazed amber brown with a large white to beige head. Musky wheat and malt, grain on the nose. Lots of musky funk. Chewy wheat, but sessionable. Super clean, gently musky and bitter on the finish. Nice stuff.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap. Labeled as a "steam beer". Mostly clear amber - orange color. Thin off-white head. Just a little loose bits of lace. Medium body. Smooth, soft carbonation. More dry finish. Lightly fruity flavor, some bread. Sort of a crisp, light citrusy, light tropical flavor. Light bitter taste, little sweet, nothing too strong in the taste, but nothing bothersome. Solid example of the style. I’m starting to figure out what a California Common is supposed to taste like. Like this brew, pretty much.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks good for the style; a mostly transparent brownish-orange with off-white lacing. Smells malty and lightly hoppy. Tastes like it smells with average mouthfeel. Not bad.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Farmhouse. Light amber body, medium white head. Lightly spicy and rustic yeasty character, light citrus. Like a Saison-light if that makes sense. Hmmmm, could I use the word "light" more in a rating?
