3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask conditioned at Whitefriars Ale House, Coventry. Gold with white head. There is quite a sharp note to this, apricot skin, reasonably hoppy if a little thin. Finishes with a leafy note. Reasonable enough.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasted this in the Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) on the 28th March 2014. Crystal clear straw in colour with a thin white head. Very short aroma with notes of green apple and wheat cereal. Good lacing throughout and a thin resiny mouthfeel. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with tart gooseberry fruit present but little else. Dry dusty hop resins impart an astringent bitter aftertaste which is far too long in intensity. Finish is pure hop resins with tart, dry grapefruit peel to the fore. Tasted far better Golden Ales at 4% than this one and is not one of my favourites from the LL portfolio.

500ml bottle shared with jeevan. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Cereal and malt aromas, light lemon/herbal hops if you concentrate. Taste is neither here nor there, but decent enough quaffing bitter.
