Bottle from Aldi a smooth Brown ale with flavours of coffee dark carmel and v roasted malt mostly sweet with a slighly tart fruit finish definitely one of the better beers from this brewery

Brown pour with creamy tan head and lace. Aroma is sweet caramel malt and sour cherries. Sweet caramel malt with some dark fruitiness and a sweet finish. Medium bodied and fizzy.

Dark caramel brown, clear, dense slight off white head
Aroma - soft fruity caramel malts, soft dark fruits
Taste - caramel malts, fruity malts, dab of raisin, touch of brown bread, some dark creramy toffee, getting a hint of chocolate, nice caramel, good tasting beer
Palate - Medium body, smooth texture, soft body. Finish as main flavour, smooth, good balance
Overall - Came across as a really good Scottish malty ale...really enjoyed this...was in good condition

Dark ruby copper with fluffy beige head and bonfire toffee oatcake malty nose. Full bodied with light carbonation, fairly sweet with toffee, fruity coffee and fudge cake. Perhaps a little underattenuated but some dry toast in the finish to keep things moving

Cask at the Pot Still, Glasgow, Scotland. Pours a ruby red medium body, sweet malty aroma, quite a light fruit flavour, sweet on the tongue with a bitter finish. Nice little session beer!

Bottle from Jenners loch lomond. It pours deep mahogany with a small white head. The nose is red fruit, berry, jam, caramel and leather. The taste is wood, berry, jam, light tartness, leather and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty...

Cask at Loch Lomond Arms Hotel. Copper-brown with small tan head. Chocolate and toffee aroma. Taste of milk chocolate and nuts, hazelnuts and toffee. Tad thin. A good example of the style ;)

Dark red in colour with thin head. Slightly watery fruit taste. Plum and bramble jam. Slightly bitter aftertaste with very subtle coffee and touch of spice. Nowhere near the worst I have tasted.
