3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
50cl bottle thanks to unstablefable. Pours opaque with a thin crema head. The nose has a savoury liquorice thing going on with a hint of coffee and salt too. The taste has black jacks (sweets from the 1980s) and some coffee though itís a little bit lighter than the nose - more bark than bite a Andrew says! The palate is a medium body with a rich texture but then it falls off a cliff somewhat! Overall, good though!

[cask at Holyrood 9A, Edinburgh] Very deep brownish black pour, decent cream-coloured head. Very inviting aroma of smooth mocha and roasted barley. Toasted bread on the nose as well. Rich and chocolatey on the flavour, before the bready toasty bitterness comes out. Very smooth on the finish. A belter
