Hand-crafted and amber in colour, the Ale of Leven is brewed using maris otter and crystal malts combined with a blend of whole-hop flowers to produce an easy drinking beer with a spicy aroma and full-rounded bitterness.

Had a bottle of this while I was cruising on a boat on Loch Lomand. It was a deep amber with a nice fluffy head that didn’t last too long in my plastic cup. Aromas were hoppy and fruity. Flavors were similar but not quite as nice. Metallic aftertaste and a lingering bitterness.
