On cask at the sraf. Golden with a thin head. Orange and light herb on the nose. Confirmed on the taste and with good maltiness. Seems bitter initially but good persistent finish.

500ml bottle from Oak Tree Inn Shop, Balmaha, Scotland (£2.99):
This definitely started well & I was really enjoying the sweetness on the nose early on but sadly this wasn’t carried through to the flavour & the earthy malts & bitterness seemed to take more of a front seat. The biggest disappointment was the fact that the beer almost seemed watery in places as well as being a touch bland before the background fruits appeared right at the end but these could have been stronger & the beer would have a better one for it.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/3/2015. Deep copper in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Sweet, husky, malts, some hedgerow fruits, toffee and a lingering bitter finish. Elements didn’t come together.

Had a bottle of this while I was cruising on a boat on Loch Lomand. It was a deep amber with a nice fluffy head that didn’t last too long in my plastic cup. Aromas were hoppy and fruity. Flavors were similar but not quite as nice. Metallic aftertaste and a lingering bitterness.

Lovely looking pint. Very fresh and well kept. Bit of fruit, some spice and malt. One I would try again.

Thanks erzengel! Pours clear copper color with a small tan head. The smell is earthy malt, fruit, some caramel. The taste is crisp fruit, dull malt, light caramel. Light in body with fine carbonation.

Bottle. Malty smooth nose. The beer starts smooth, fresh, easy to drink. Hints of malt, fresh, grain. The aftertaste is medium, smooth, grain, ale, interesting. Nice brew!
