Basically black, ruby glints, small tan head. Chocolate cake witha hint of sweet bacon fat in the aroma - lovely! Beautiful level of burntness - dry but not ashy. Palate milky, making this an easy drinker. Finishes nicely on coffee. A top stout.

Cask at SRAF. Pours very dark brown. Nose is roasted malts, slight chocolate. Tastes chocolate malts, quite bitter, dryish. A bit too dry and bitter for my taste.

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A black colour with a foamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and some smoke. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate, some cookie, subtle blackberry and some smoke. Medium bodied and a creamy texture. A creamy, roasted, chocolate bitterness in the finish. Initially a standard stout but creamy and roasty, very pleasant.
