A pale ale with a fusion of bittering hops and a wonderful three hop finish. It does exactly what it says on the tin.

Flesje van de brouwerij winkel. Goudoranje, mooie plakkerige kraag. Ruikt bitter grapefruit, smaakt ook zo, mooie balans tussen bitter en zoet. behoorlijk vol bier. Jammer dat ik hier geen krat van heb......

Cask gravity at The Bell Ivychurch. Clear gold lasting white head. Yes hoppy. Yes brewed with a lot of hops. Leafy slightly citric. Lemon. Tart hops. Decent condition. Some bitterness on the finish. Just the right side of citric. Lime. OK though. Lots of hop.

Bottle BBE: Unknown. Well-chilled. Pours a crystal clear amber body with small, tight, off-white head. Classic malty, English bitter style aroma. Some fresh, grassy hop notes but not very complex. High vanilla sweetness and a medium bitterness; this is where it deviates from a bitter. Light to medium body with a sticky texture, low carbonation and no real finish. Overall this beer is fairly bog standard, but the high sweetness is distinctive and works quite well.

500ml bottle. Clear, darkest golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Piney, hoppy aroma, some pineapple as well, biscuity malty background. Taste is minimally sweet biscuity malty, piney hoppy overtones, a dry, woody touch, even a cautious touch of peanut. Lacks some intensity in taste.

500ml bottle pours clear copper with small white head which soon dissipates to cap. Grapefruit and sweet butterscotch in the nose. This has a good, sweet, light maltiness to it, butterscotch again and some tropical fruit. Good mouth feel, medium body and carbonation. Good mid bitter finish with lingering sweet and sour fruits. I think this is a very well balanced beer. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Pale and happy. Citra seems to dominate leading to a bitter grapefruit finish.

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear golden colour with a foamy white head. Aroma of lemon, grapefruit, subtle grape, floral hops and slight vegetable. Taste of grapefruit, lemon, some orange, subtle resin and floral hops. Medium bodied and a slightly oily texture. A dry, grapefruit bitterness in the finish. A solid, hoppy APA. Doesn’t stand out though.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2015 Keg from Growler Beers and bottle from Aldi. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Light lacing. Aroma of autumn leaves, passionfruit, pineapple, orange marmalade and dusty malt. Flavour of orange, lime, underripe pineapple and peppery earth. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A nice British style IPA.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear gold. Big, bubbly, messy, sticky, white head. Buttery malts. Some lemon. Taste is sweet and buttery. Some grassy bitterness. Palate is all of that. Nah. Hard work, buttery and bitter. There’s nothing in between.
