Scopey (3243) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 19, 2013
Bottle from Tomlinsons, Inverness. It pours clear amber with a thick beige head. The nose is wood, earth, toffee, light toast, apricot and peach. The taste is earth, wood, leather, decent bitterness, toast, light spice and a touch of citrus with a set finish. Medium body and fine-moderate carbonation. Good balance. Nothing particularly exciting, but a solid bitterness nonetheless.

Cask conditioned handpump Salmon Leicester 09/05/13. A brown beer with a white head and lace. Nicely hopped. Good fruity notes with soome sweeter malts. Good late bitterness. A well constructed full flavoured beer.

Bottle at home from AleselA
Pours dark blonde with a slight, off-white head. Sweet bruised peaches, mango, tangerine on the nose.Prickly carbonation with sweet, juicy fruit, some orange pith, caramel and a dry bitterness that numbs the tip of the tongue leading to a sticky pithy finish.

330ml bottle - Pleasant faint taste of hops in the background. I really enjoyed this, however I was particularly thirsty and that may have affected my judgement. Good flavour for a 3.9 alc.

Cask @ Old Mill Brodie
Dark amber....clear...big frothy head from sprinkler
Aroma - caramel malt...fruity - hint of red berries....dab of yeast
Taste - fruity malts....light caramel malt...some bitter hops....quite fruity but not much else
Palate - thin body...slightly oily texture. Finish as main flavour but quite bitter on the linger
Overall - just an average bitter - it was the end of the cask but was in reasonably good condition.....bit plain but OK.....will re-rate!

Cask @ The Halfway House, Edinburgh. Mild fruity caramel malt aroma. Reddish amber brown colour, not much head. Apple / mixed fruits & malt flavour. Watery with sour aftertaste. A new one but not a good one.
