2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 visionthing (1725) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 16, 2013
33cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian (thanks!) Pours slightly hazy amber with an off-white head. Smell a bit strange. Aroma of caramel, malt, sour wood with hints of smoke, fruits and some basement notes. Alcohol is quite well integrated for a 11% beer. Quite sweet with some wooden sourness and a bit harsh bitterness in the finish. Quite strange, but interesting enough. (2013-06-05)

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 gunnar (3719) - Sandnes, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2011
Bottle from a deli shop at Heathrow. Pours clear dark golden with a big creamy snow white head. Aroma is spicy and perfumed grainy. Taste is spiced grains, lots of alcohol, reminds me more of a strong lager, this is not a porter. Burning alcoholic aftertaste, my lips feel numb.

Bottle. Pours with a thin white head that disappears quickly, clear coppery orange color. Sweet maltiness, candy, and fruits in the aroma. Candy sugar drives the flavor, vanilla, and just an overall sweetness with booze that I really don’t like. Thicker body, and just doesn’t suit. Bleh really.

Had a taste at Sydney Airport. To be honest is not really my kind of beer. I would prefer to have a wine than this strong beer. I had it out of curiosity. I would say that it has a light sweet with salty taste. The alcohol content is a bit overpowering.
