The aroma is sweet and malty with a nutty background. The color is yellow and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is malty with notes of straws and nuts. It ends on a rather dry note. A fine beer but nothing special - I couldn't tell the chestnuts - just hint of a nuttyness.

Clean, balanced lager, though I didn’t notice any chestnuts. Still refreshing after a hike

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear golden color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is light hoppy bitter with a fruity touch. This beer smells malty.

330ml bottle (Aumm Aumm, Rome)
Very bland plasticky aroma. Crisp carbonation, watery palate. Slightly nutty retronasals. Plasticky taste, with the plastickiness heading towards menthol in the finish. Tastes a bit artificial.

Vertical Bacon Strips (1699) - Asshat, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 15, 2009
Poured out a slightly hazy yellow gold with some floaties. Quickly vanashing white head that remains as a film and near zero lacing. The aroma sucks. Dirty, stinky, fake apple, crappy malt, dry, wheat. It is easy enough to drink but just isn’t that appealing. Appley (new word!), powdery, malt, wheat? Light bodied. Kind of empty, dry and slighty bitter...less than boring. Save your money for escorts.

Cirrhosis (932) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 5, 2009
Pale gold, or maybe browny yellow, just a skiff of bubbles on top, just your average looking lager nothing special. The aroma is bitter rotting tomatoes, cheap nasty malts combined with a good heap of compost, this horrible smell is not disgusting me it’s bad smelling but not repulsive. Flavor seems watered down and thin, old stale malts are all I really taste. This beer is just boring and forgettable, it’s drinkable but I would never want it again.

Bottled 33cl. Appearance: It pours a clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Not much lacework. Aroma: Chestnuts and honey appearing. Rather malty. Faintly metallic. Flavor and palate: Malt accented. Sweet with hints of chestnuts, metal and vegetables. Easy drinkable. Medium bodied. Malty finish. Overall impression: Decent.

[33cl bottle] Clear, pale golden colour with a short frothy white head. Moderately sweet nutty and almost almond-like malty nose with a slightly smoky touch. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, smooth carbonation. Malt-accented nutty taste with a medium-dry, slightly smoky finish. Not a real highlight but at least interesting and likeable [29.X.08].
