Non certo la migliore della serata, bevuta la notte (verso le 3 o le 4) dopo averla presa al Pub del Duca (grazie Roberto!); l’aroma è piuttosto curioso/piacevole ed è forse l’unico punto di interesse di una birra altrimenti non molto evoluta, che forse gioca un po’ sulla pubblicità dovuta all’ingrediente e alla polemica connessa.

Si presenta con un aroma erbaceo e di canapa, tipo amaca, con qualcosa di pompelmo. Il gusto è molto erbaceo, di canapa, liscio, con qualche aroma di zest di agrume e si presenta con un perlage molto fitto e persistente. Beverina e rinfrescante.

Bottle at Cafe Art’s Geneva. Gold body with small head. Nose quite spicy and of hemp. Taste hempy, watery, spicy. Prickly texture. Hemp quite overpowering. Not my thing.

Pours clowdy golden with nice white head and lace. Aroma is hmmm hay, gingery and a bit malty. Flat mouthfeel. Flavor is spicy, sourish, malty, sweet, thin body. Thin sourish palate. Finishes short slightly hoppy.

From a bottle in Zürich. Pours a soft light orange. Pungent floral and herbal aroma. Flavour is of herbs, flowers and dishwashing detergent. Negligible hop or malt influence. Light carbonation. This is disgusting.

Cloudy golden with a medium off white head. Loads of hemp in the aroma with hints of malt. Flavour had loads of hemp, herbs, malt and hints of hops. Finished dry and hempy.

Clear medium yellow orange color with many medium sized body particles, a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate to light heavy spicy, peppery, soap, ginger, hemp. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to lively. [20091129]

Bottled (Thanks Bov!). Slightly hazy golden colour, mediumsized white head. Nice rich lace. Aroma is fennel, "minttu", grass and some malts. Flavour is fennel, grass, minttu as well as some malts. Very herbal. Not very pleasant.

Bottled swing top (BB 11/2009). A bit hazy golden color, small white head, some lace. Herbal, ginger aroma. Thinnish palate. Lemon, herbs, sweetish notes in the flavor. Not much hemp in this beer. More like flower tea or something ...

Bottle at nearbeer’s Spring Cleansin’. Pours gold with tight white head. The aroma is sweet and extremely floral with spring spices, lemon, and even a hint of blueberry. Hemp is detectable, but I think it’s more the power of suggestion. Flavor is herbal and semi-sweet, lots of floral hemp notes, and a light bitter finish. Strange, but I kind of like it.

500 ml, cracked at the Spring Cleansin’. Clear gold with a lasting ring of bubbles. Floral, honey and spicy hemp aromas. Flavor is pretty much the same. Light-medium body is tingly and dryish. Thanks to Allen for this one.
