COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Cloudy orange color with proper head. Sweet malts in the aroma, but not much more. Sweet malty flavours, hints of nuttiness, but not really distinct. Hardly any tanines or wood at all, but still good to drink.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Bottled 0,33L. Unusually hazy and opaque color, rather dark and veiled with medium fizz. Compact and adherent head in superficial. Spiced and aged scent with aromas of straw, mint, fresh grass and malty. Prickly and mellow taste, medium bitter but in prominence on the end.

Bottled (swingtop bottle). Cloudy orange-brown coloured, white head. Aroma of wheat, like a hefeweizen with notes of banana, combined with some caramel malts, really nice. In flavour the wheat is more on the background, and it’s the caramel malts that together with the hops that dominate. Biter finish. Pleasant brew.

Bottle. Dark hazy golden in color with a nice fluffy off white head. Malty bready and woody aroma. Caramel oak notes. Hoppy citrusy malty flavor. Yeasty. Light bitter finish. Medium bodied. Average beer. Ok.

Bottle. Orange-yellow color with very small white foamy head that dissipates quickly, doughy aroma, slightly metallic sweetish taste, low carbonation, abrupt finish. A bit flat and bland.

Bottle (Utobeer): Hazy gold with a short white head. Big lemon and mashed banana flavour with some vanilla notes too. Very refreshing, slightly grainy feel. Sweet aroma of spice and fruit. This is a pale lager?

Poured a slight-hazed amber, quickly headless, with light sediment-suspension. Yeasty aromas of yogurt, apple and oak, when combined, strike me as adjuncts. (I had to keep reminding myself of the words on the label, "...aged up to 4 months in old oak barrels", which is something you don’t see everyday in regards to "pale lagers".) Herbal hops came out late. Flavor began with an apple tartness, but further sips revealed little else as this became just another sour, nutty lager with an added splash of fruity acidity. Thin & chalky palate led the way to a brief hint of bitterness in the finish.

Cloudy orange with a meager white head. Bready, malty, hoppy aroma but of little consequence. Lots of carbonation. Some woodiness and smoke. Nice bottle, anyway.

Bottled. Dark-orange, thick white head. The aroma is fruity and malty, caramel and even marshmallow. Good stuff! Nothing special in the taste, but it’s extremely well balanced and all individual parts are good. There’s malt with good hops towards the end, with a sweeter finish.
