COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Interesting beer especially since I’m not exactly sure what an appenzeller is. What I can say is it tastes very fresh and lively like it has to be made with mountain water. Lighter beer but not too light, like a weak amber. I’d have another :-)

Bottle @ home, gift from my uncle Ino. Clear orange to amber color, small off-white head that diminishes almost instantly. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, lightly sweet red and dark fruits. Average body, decent carbonation. Ok beer.

Cloudy orange color with proper head. Sweet malts in the aroma, but not much more. Sweet malty flavours, hints of nuttiness, but not really distinct. Hardly any tanines or wood at all, but still good to drink.

Locations: Rio Getränkemarkt Zürich-Gutstrasse; Brauerei Locher (Appenzell). Eye: bubbly bottle. golden to copper colour Nose: wood and smoke Mouth: strong but sweet malts. Smoky but also sweet. Nuts. Wooden taste and it almost seems as the wood sucked out the fluidity. Butterlike in the throat. Palate: wooden, dry Overall: nice wooden beer. drink after a hard physical day

33 cl in a tall schooner. Malty and slightly sweet aroma with a slightly astringent note. Pours a carmel brown, slightly cloudy with a thin quickly dissipating tan head. Nice lacing. Taste has medium sweetness, with a slight bitter bite, citrus, nutty and complex. Medium body, slick feel, slightly fizzy, astringent finish. Nice beer.

Birra abbastanza gradevole e scorrevole.

Clear copper gold with cream head. Caramel malts, cane sugar and wild honey, but not invasive. Mellow taste with sweet caramel malty tone, again sugar cane and a light bitter ending. Nice, but nothing exceptional.
