COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

33 cl swing-top, bb 03 Jan 2011. Nose of toasted oak, light smoke and green banana. Color of iced-tea with a lasting ring of creamy bubbles. Tastes of toasted oak and pecan on the front, turning slowly to show some vanilla, caramel, and hints of banana. Nice aftertaste of toasted oak and dry grass make for a balanced finish. Light-medium body is slightly tingly and astringent. Seems like a pretty average lager underneath, but it gets a really nice flavor boost from the oak aging.

Pours cloudy amber with a nice thick & creamy head leaving nice lace. Aroma is malty, bready, yeast, spicy, floral and hoppy. Flavor is a bit yeasty, like dark sour dough bread, malty and sweet. Quite nice indeed. Medium sweet malty palate. Finish is not distinguished but pleasant bitter.

This pours a hazy, golden yellow color with a slight head. The aroma is mild with yeast, citrus, and wheat. The taste is sweet but flat with a grainy citrus taste. It’s fairly easy drinking but ordinary and forgettable. Not too overall but at its price point, you can find way better brews for the same price.
