UPDATED: MAR 24, 2006 Okay, the Locher website has this as a different product than the other Quollfrisch (that one’s designated "hefetrub," or unfiltered), but I may be wrong. I entered the UPC code when creating this listing, so I’ll find out. But this is my second new country with a skunked Heienken clone in a green bottle. Big skunky odor when opened. Pours standard Heinie color with a soda pop head. Taste remains skuny for a while, unlike last night’s <a href=http://ratebeer.com/Beer/phuket-lager-beer/14 Not much else to recommend it. Seems to be at least all-grain, with supporting German hops. It does improve further down, but otherwise not much better than any common pale lager. Got this 33 cl bottle for a buck from the "loose" rack at Sam;s, Downers Grove.

[5/14/12] Bottle on a Swiss Air flight. Clear golden with a white head. Slightly grainy aroma with hay and a bit of grassy hops. Sweetish flavor with a bit of malt, a bit grainy, with a slightly bitter finish. Light-medium-bodied, a bit fizzy. Quite bland but pretty drinkable.

330ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a small white head that leaves no lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild malts and hops. Taste is light malt sweetness and light hop bitterness. The finish is quite clean and there are no off tastes. Easy drinking and quite refreshing.

Clear pale golden colour with tiny white head. Mild sweetish malt with some notes of hay and fruits in aroma. Flavour is also quite mild with fruity candy sweet hops, malt and hay. Very easy and forgettable Lager. And how ugly the label can be?

(Dose) Das Aroma ist minimal und leicht süßlich, würzig. Optisch ist es sehr hellgelb, klar mit einer weißen Schaumkrone. Geschmacklich ist es schlank, fast wässrig, ein bisschen süßlich-honigartig im Abgang. Es ist keine Bittere wahrnehmbar. Zusammengefasst ist es sehr langweilig.

For a lager from a can, this is just fine. Clean and crisp with a reasonable lager taste, it makes for a decent thirst quencher and session lager.

#1194 Dieses Bier sieht nicht sehr einladend aus: Grobporiger Schaum & sehr helles gelb. Ein unangenehmer Brotton ist vernehmbar. Der äußerst dünne Antrunk ist auch nicht der Bringer. Im Geschmack ebenfalls brotig und äußerst dürftig. Plörriger Abgang ohne echte Hopfenaromen. Definitiv nicht mein Geschmack!

Bottle pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma is grainy malt and grass. Flavor shows some biscuit and light florals. Overall body is light, clean and crisp with light bitterness.

Bottle shared with Deanso. Pale clear golden pour with small white head. Aroma is slight grain, malt and hops. Flavour is fresh, light malty with a sweet finish. Not bad for the style.
