3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle in Zürich. It pours a cloudy, yellowish amber with a big head. The aroma is cereal, banana, oats, and a bit of cloves. Smooth palate with lively carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter and sweet. Very serviceable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Don’t think I’ve ever had a Swiss weizenbier before. It is markedly better than Edelweiss but still has a long way to go before reaching the status of it’s Bavarian cousins. Pretty clear actually with a light aroma. Tastes fine though a bit flat at the end. Usual flavors on the palate are real nice. Average, but I love this style so it’s still really enjoyable.

500ml corked bottled served in a Weizen bottle.
A: Pours a hazy orange color forming a big fizzy and creamy white head. Good retention and lots of lacings formed and left in the glass

T: Sweet grains upfront. Extremely bready. Strong notes of sweet pale malts and wheat. Biscuity. Some light notes of flowery grains. Earthy and quite bready yeast profile
M: Creamy body. Medium carbonation. Smooth. Bready aftertaste
O: Great drinkability. Smooth. Simple but very pleasant Swiss Weissbier

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fliptop bottle, 0.50l, shared with Yoo. Pours cloudy deep golden with medium creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of wheat, banana, yeast and biscuit malt. Taste starts with moderate sweet grainy malt, follows refreshing yeasty and fruity with spicy mouthfeel and light bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Surprisingly good hefeweizen...

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled from a 500ml fliptop bottle,
this ale had a cloudy light brown pour with a muted orange color, the pour made a one to two finger white cover that receded to a thin cover with open areas, it left a few spots of lacing on the sides of the glass, not that great of a presentation for a hefeweizen,
the aromas were banana with some orange citrus, wheat and bread, a little grain in the background, and some bread sweetness,
there was little to no hops, just a hint of grass and field from the hops,
this drink had flavors of wheat and bread, a little banana with orange fruit, very faint vanilla and a bit of grain with a little sweetness,
it had a muted citrus-acidic bite (not much at all) after the finish,
the mouth feel was light and thin, it did not feel that creamy and it had soft to average carbonation,
this was a very so-so and boring example of a weizenbier, oh well.
