Commercial Description:
This ale, named after the famous Folsom landmark, is brewed in the classic English style, using American Ale yeast. The smooth and balanced taste comes from the North West Pale Ale Two Row, combined with classic imported Crystal and Wheat malts. With a sunny gold color, the finish is crisp and clean and it is topped off with Cascade hops for an irresistible aroma.

Sampled on 8/12/2009. This pale ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel and sweet, with a touch of orange. A medium bodied Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet, with some orange. The hops are grapefruity and kind of mild for a pale ale. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

5 ounce sample from the Fair Oaks Brewfest. Light, citric, floral aroma with some very mild hempy tones present as well. I also detect a touch of buttery diacetyl. Cereal and biscuits are also hiding in the faint aroma. Honey-colored body with an off-yellowish head. Lightly hopped piney start with mild floral notes as well. Sweet, cereal-like malt flavors follow in the middle. Mildly bitter juicy hop finish. So-so.
