(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 30 Oct 2009) Golden amber colour with brief, frothy, white head. Fruity nose with apricots, citrus and grainy malt. Fruity, slightly malty taste with notes of apricots, citrus and grain. Light body, balanced sweetness. Decent and refreshing golden ale without getting overly exciting.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Gold with a small white head. Fresh fruity aroma, perhaps a hint of apple there with the sweet malt. Rich creamy grainy malt taste with a sharp bitter finish. I liked this.

Cask in the new crown. Aroma has some nice peachy character, but alot a decent amount of alcohol and is on the sweet pale malt side of balance. Taste is as above sweet pale malts, slightly bitter/butteryness, hops do pritty much balance but are not overly exciting.

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Gold with a white head. Rather thin tasting for abv. Predominant flavour is astringent english hops with a slightly tinny twang. Dissopointing.

A Mes rate. Cask at Baker St. ’Sporks. Clean gold with a slight collar of white suds and a little condition. Slightly astringent floral hop aroma with a hint of vanilla. Far too much sweet bready malt in the flavour which overpowers what the hops are trying to do. Late bitterness just about balances it out but overall it’s a rather dull malty golden ale.

Cask handpump @ The Monk’s Retreat, Reading RG1, England.
Clear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, flowers, grape, notes of butter, honey ? Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (010508)
