Cask at the Red Lion, Isleworth, Bank Holiday Festival, 27th August 2010. Amber with very little head. Honeyed, especially on the nose, tastes quite sweet. Dry finish.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Beershine (4766) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - DEC 2, 2010
@ Foot of the Walk. Warm golden orange and clear. Aroma is very buttery diacetyl. Slick palate. Butter overwhelms everything except for a hint of floral hops. The hop bitterness redeems, and there are also nice toasty malts but the D is overpowering.

Golden-amber. Has a leafy-buttery aroma. Earthy palate with a slightly juicy hop character. Toasty finish. Good bitter.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Eastgate Northampton. A golden beer with a white head. A slightly tired hoppy aroma with tropical fruit. The taste is the same and there’s a hint of rubber. Signs of alcohol strength but not at its best presumably.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 downender (4389) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2010
Cask-conditioned at a JDW in Reading 27/06/10. Deep gold in colour with a slight, off-white head. Fruity aroma of sweet malts and a touch of peach. Sweetish, malt flavour with a touch of honey and dried fruit, and a short bitter finish. Ok.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 oh6gdx (16098) - Vasa, FINLAND - JAN 18, 2010
Cask@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Deep golden colour with small white fluffy head. Aroma is fruity, nectary and quite floral. Flavour is fruits, some bready and caramelly malty notes along with some notes of earth and wood. More to the sweetish side though.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Svesse (4399) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - NOV 1, 2009
(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 30 Oct 2009) Golden amber colour with brief, frothy, white head. Fruity nose with apricots, citrus and grainy malt. Fruity, slightly malty taste with notes of apricots, citrus and grain. Light body, balanced sweetness. Decent and refreshing golden ale without getting overly exciting.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 hughie (3993) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2009
Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Gold with a small white head. Fresh fruity aroma, perhaps a hint of apple there with the sweet malt. Rich creamy grainy malt taste with a sharp bitter finish. I liked this.

Cask in the new crown. Aroma has some nice peachy character, but alot a decent amount of alcohol and is on the sweet pale malt side of balance. Taste is as above sweet pale malts, slightly bitter/butteryness, hops do pritty much balance but are not overly exciting.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bobinlondon (1179) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 19, 2010 Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Gold with a white head. Rather thin tasting for abv. Predominant flavour is astringent english hops with a slightly tinny twang. Dissopointing. 2.5.
Re rate. Same pub, same beer 19/9/2010. This time it tastes like they’ve left the hops out all together! Cloyingly sweet, good condition but hard to finish a pint. Nasty! I think I’ll move on to Abbot! 2.1.
