Cask gravity at Egham spring festival 2011. Pale brown clear no head. Some boiled sweet aroma. Ok in mouth. A bit of a dull bitter with a touch if sweetness from the roasted barley

Cask (gravity dispense) at Egham Beer Festival on 21 April 2011. Amber colour. Soft and quite fruity. The Cascade dry hopping wasn’t particularly prominent, whilst the added roast barley extract seemed to have toned down the zesty character of the base beer and upped the sweetness. The overall impression was of a slightly fruity bitter. Decent enough but not really my thing. I’m not sure the special treatment added too much in this instance - detracted somewhat if anything.
