Cask at Britannia (Wetherspoon’s), Milehouse, Plymouth. I had this with two other ale-liking friends and we all just said "wow". Lovely dark-golden colour, with a small and frothy, quickly dispersing head. Slightly sweet and fruity nose. Hoppy in the mouth, but not overpoweringly so with a slight fizz on the tongue. Very refreshing - the sort of beer you can imagine drinking on a summer’s day.

Cask Conditioned at Reading BF. Amber coloured. Juicy and fruity aroma. Hoppy and bitter well balanced by a good malt character. Another really good beer from the brewery.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2006 Nov 06 Takeaway from Gravity cask @ Bitter Virtue, Soton. Juicy fruity nose, very inviting. Gold malt to balance moderate bitterness of the hops. Not quite as drinkable today but a better array of flavours. 3.6
Apr 06 Gravity cask @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Good hop malt balance. Some toffee and not quite citric hops. Tasty with trademark Loddon sweet toffee but still light malt but didnt excite as some have done. 3.4

A very flowerful brew. Both taste and aroma is like entering a flower shop. Upon second pint I noticed some maltiness and a touch of red apples. Nice enough to drink again.

Cask Handpump at the Penny Black, Northwich (JDW) 05/06/2006 Slightly floral aroma. Golden coloured and hoppy with some banana fruit flavour. Some dryness and creaminess in a bitter lasting finish.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Reading BF. A peach/ornage coloured beer. The aroma has good hops with orange flavours. The taste is also nice orange fruit hops. A decent drink.

Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Attractive bright orange colour - a bit dark for a golden ale. Otherwise, its crisp, fresh and fruity, with plenty of zesty hop character. Rather more aromatic than I expected from Challenger hops. Very pleasant.

Cask at The Monks’ Retreat (JDW), Reading. Golden with a white head; crisp and refreshing with a grapefruit flavour and some honey; a refreshing bitter aftertaste with more grapefruit. Excellent.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Colour is amber to copper. Nose is fruity, flowery with hints of wild berries. Taste is malty, fruity with a short, rather metallic, bitter finish. Not exciting, but nice and refreshing.
