Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Not that dark - sort of deep copper colour. I guess they are going for a Newcastle brown type feel (why?). Reasonably malty and earthy, with caramel and nuts, and some light berry fruit. Fairly dry. Not really my favoured style, although its really more of a bitter than a brown ale, but not bad.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Reading BF. A darkish brown coloured beer with a sweet malty aroma with alittle nuttiness. The taste is decent with some hops and some malts all in balance. Not sure if this is trying to be a Brown Ale, but it ain’t.
