[2707-20100116] Cask. Mild toasty grains aroma. Clear, golden orange amber body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Mild smokiness and floral toasted caramel in the flavour with a long sweet aftertaste. Medium body. Smooth, has odd floral characteristics.

Cask, handpump at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, pub that is run by Peter Fowler (ex Pitsop Brewery) 14.01.11 Pours amber with a white head, quite creamy in the mouth with vanilla. Nice bitterness, bit dry at end. Good beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask conditioned at The Dun Cow, Hornton, Oxon. Gold with white head. Light and lagery beer, thin on taste and impact, served well but not that special in character.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Pale amber in colour with a dense cream head; thin, grainy, body with citrus and orange flavours; slightly spritzy with orange zest and a touch of ginger; the finish is lightly bitter.
