(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Colour is pale amber, almost no head. Nose is rather fruity, malty and sweet with hints of oranges (or mandarines) and biscuits. Taste is fruity (apricots) with some alcohol driven sweetness. Drier and more hops towards the finish. Somewhat oily body. An ok english style IPA, but I woudn’t call it highly hopped, it wouldn’t suffer from some more bitterness to balance the sweetness.

Cask @ Great Expectations. Clear pale amber. Citrus fruit aroma, with undertones of horlicks. Taste has decent malt backbone with orangey citrus from the hops. Good beer.

Honey and melon with a full floral hop finish, which hits you in the mouth. Tasty beer.

Cask at the King’s Tun (JDW). Dark gold with a medium-fine clingy and lacy head, and a little honeydew melon on the nose. Full bodied, initially a hint of sweetness on the tip of the tongue, then clean and drying, with fruity malt coming through in the mouth along with hints of pepper and a little peach, and a lingering sharp dry-bitter aftertaste.

TEJA (788) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 5, 2012
Cask at Akkurat. Small aroma with some sweet caramell and piny hoppiness. Sweet caramell tast dominates with a firm bitterness butstill to sweet. Big body and not so high drinkabillity.

Fra cask på Market Porter, London Bridge 18 Mai 11. Gylden. Lavt skum. Forsiktig fruktig aroma. Aprikos. Smaken det samme med innslag av mais. Tørr fruktig ettersmak. OK men ingen typisk IPA.

Cask. Deep golden colour, small head. Aroma is floral and grassy hops with some mild resiny and wooden notes as well. Flavour is fruity and floral hops along with mild grassyness. Quite crisp maltyness with a grassy quite longlasting bitterness in the aftertaste and finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, tangerine and caramel aroma. Flavour carried on with the sweetness, with a moderately bitter finish. Not so good.

Half-pint at the Old Manor in Bracknell. Pale and slightly cloudy with a small head. Sweet, slightly sulpherous, and the hops are apparent. Smells hoppy, sweet and syrupy. Quite reasonable and has a unique taste in its favour.

Cask (Maidenhead Inn JDW, Basingstoke) - Amber in colour. Peach, apricot and sultanas in the aroma. Fairly bitter and hoppy taste with notes of tea and apricot standing out.

hughie (3993) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2011
Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Copper with a small white head. Truly delicious aroma of peach and banana. Sweet malty taste with traces of fruit and honey and a sharp bitter finish. Calls itself an IPA, and it’s nearer than most British contenders for the title. Most agreeable.
