Cask; Special - September 2006.
A smooth deep golden ale with a spicy bitterness derived from an interesting blend of WGV, Amarillo and Hallertau hops.

Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Hazed gold with no head. Sweet, honeyed and perfumey to me, quite flowery and apple like, possibly too young. Not very keen on this one.

Cask at Chapel Beer Festival. Clear gold beer. Light hoppy nose. Palate is neutral to slightly dry. Light dry malt. Juicy hop fruits. Okay but somewhat let down by the tired malts.

Cask @Ascot Beer Festival 2009. Pours a dark golden colour with a thin white head. Real citrus aroma, with a spicy bitterness in the taste.

berkshirejohn (3020) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2009
Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Gold with a thin cream head; weak grainy aroma; watery with a wheaty body; and a touch of bitterness to finish. Disappointing and forgetable - not Loddon’s finest.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 19 nov 2007) Amber colour with frothy white head. Fruity nose with orange, apricots and earthy hops. Fruity taste with notes of orange peel, grapefruit and a nice dose of earthy hops in the finish. Some malt sweetness lingers in the background throughout. Nice session beer with a distinct bitterness.
