Cask; Special - February 2010.
A very dark, full-bodied and satisfying ale. Overflowing with rich, roasty, malt and balanced with plenty of Golding and First Gold hops.

Handpump at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon 15.04.11 with Peter (ex Pitstop brewer) and owner of this new pub Pours dark, dark brown with a light beige head. This is nicely roasty, wonderful richness its smooth, really quite tasty, little sweet perhaps but good, in fact very good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

Cask (handpump) @ The 16th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2010, Reading, Berkshire England.

Clear dark brown color with a large, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt malt, coffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100429]

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Black with a ruby red tint and a loose tan head; distinct blackcurrant aroma; thinly bodied with blackcurrant fruit flavours, the texture is soft and lactic; the finish sweetish with rich chocolate malts providing the bitterness. Very moreish.
