Cask in JDW The Tyburn. Colour is light reddish brown. Nose is buttery, touch of burnt caramel and toffee. Taste is buttery caramel malt, bit of hop fruit.

Cask @ Edward Wylie, JDW. Slightly hazy, dark golden colour, white head. Nose is soft malted, hint of toffee and caramel. Flavour is malty, toffee, caramel, a bit fruity. Ok drinkable.

Cask @ The Bon Accord. Mild grassy aroma. Medium brown colour. Aromatic caramel chocolate flavour. Quite smooth. Reasonable bitter.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Amber gold with a dense cream head; cereal grain aroma; creamy texture and a grainy body; with some light grapefruit bitterness to finish. A pleasant session beer.

Cask at Cleveland Arms, London. Pours a mostly clear amber with a filmy head. Toasted bread aroma with some citrus hops. Sweet flavor with cracker and some fruity, medium roast malts. Light fruits, like grape and orange, with modest, earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes nicely balanced with light bitters and malty sweetness. Good brew.

Cask Conditioned handpump Old Contemptibles Birmingham. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. A hint of orangey citrus in the nose A bit of bitterness in the mouth with oats coming through too. Not bad.

Cask, The Orange Tree, Chelmsford, 19th September 2010. Lots of complex malt, caramel, marris otter, good bitterness, soft nutty texture, very drinkable, good bitterness levels, crystal malt, low carbonation, light, easy and very sessionable. Don’t think it was on top form when I had it and doubt it travels too well.

Cask@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Amber colour, mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some nuttyness as well as caramel malts. Flavour is citrus, some mild wooden notes as well as mild nutty notes. Pleasant bitter.

Cask @Ascot Beer Festival 2009. Pours a clear dark amber colour. The aroma is of grapefruit,with malted barley. The taste is all citrus, with a lovely hop finish, making this a good session beer.

Cask, gravity at Wellington Arms Winter Festival of Ale. Dark chestnut colour. malty aroma and taste with a bit of fruit and some bitterness. Classic English bitter, fresh and delicious.
