COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special - from 27th September 2006.
Fresh hop ale. We have purchased from Charles Farm hop merchants some of this season's fresh Golding hops. These are straight from the bine and unprocessed, i.e. not dried or compressed. With these hops we do not know the alpha acid content (this is what imparts bitterness) and so the resulting brew will be a surprise. Initial samples from the fermenting vessel show a pronounced ripe orange freshness and gentle bitterness. Called Wolf-Bine (the botanical name for the hop Humulus Lupulus).

Mungo (2472) - Southampton, - SEP 30, 2006
Take-away from cask @ Bitter Virtue, Soton. Initial fruity (sweet citrus) and mild hay hop aromas. Malt simpler than many Loddon beers. Tasty but slightly lacking in bitterness with the malty sweetness growing to dominate the finish.
