Smells like a diacetyl laden gruitt beer. Cloying spices with very faint cheesy hop notes. Even worse on the palate.

Faded garnet color with an ivory head. Siide-by-side this beer looks identical to the amber. Caramel malt aroma with some hop notes. Very thin mouth feel. Dry with some bready notes.

At NorCal Brewers Guild Festival at Raley Field. LIght hop aroma, seemingly accompanied by citrus. Darkish brown amber color with a light beige lacing head. Medium mouthfeel. Malt strongly balanced with a fruit/grapefruit hop - it’s very different - unique even. The finish is mildly bitter.
