Alkoholisch-süßer Geruch, etwas nach Soja. Dunkel malziger, etwas süßer Antrunk, brotig werdend. Der Alkohol ist nur leicht erkennbar, was zum harmonischen Gesamteindruck beiträgt. Dunkel malziger Abgang. Harmonisch, aber nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Test vom 4.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,10,9,10,8,10 - 9,65

Schroppfy (2350) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - MAY 18, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 19, 2011 It is back and it is exactly how a BP is supposed to taste. Wow, the big raisiny sweetness, some chocolate, some wood, wine-like. Flavor is strong, moderately-to-heavily sweet, almost no bitterness, touch of sourness. Aroma is wood and buttered burnt plums and roast. Equal to the best of the Polish BPs.

0,5 l bottle as a gift.
Deep brown near black ruby beer with a nice creamy and foamy tan head that melt down to a small lacing one. Smell roasty and fruity, mild alcoholic-liqueric perfume. Dark chocolate, burnt woods some vanilla. Wow. Medium bodied one with a surprisingly well hidden alcohol. Fine roasted grains, sweet caramel and molasses, dark chcolate and burnt woods, dried fruits like raisins and plum. Wow, it was delicious!

A Mes rate. Can at Chris O’s pre NYE tasting. Chris’s tastings are so awesome that something has to be really amazing or utterly vile to stand out from the crowd. Sadly, this was in the latter category. Judging by the rates here there may well have been something a little big wrong with this one but all I can do is call it as I taste it. I agree with Ian about the foot bath but someone with a serious case of foot fungus has been paddling in here. It’s utterly rancid and one of the worst smelling beers I have had. Rich treacle flavour with a roasty finish is pretty poor too in all honesty but it’s a considerable improvement on the aroma. Bad bad bad smelling beer.

Can at Chris o New Year tasting 08/09. Smells of foot bath of a swimming pool. Does settle down a bit. Some choc, some hot alcohol. It’s a bit turgid. Some biscuit.
